Guide prices from our own list, not a fixed quote. The exact figure depends on the part, the size of the door and how easy it is to get to, and we agree it with you before any work begins.
After-hours and emergency jobs add a flat $500
When the door cannot wait for a normal booking — a car shut in the garage, a door stuck open overnight, a spring that has let go — we still come out after hours. That visit costs the usual job price plus one $500 surcharge, and we tell you it applies before we leave, so you can choose the next ordinary slot instead.
What moves each price
The list gives the figure. These guides go job by job through what pushes a price to either end of its range, and when a repair stops being worth paying for.
Price questions we get asked
$450 for one spring and $600 for a matched pair, supplied and fitted. Both figures already include the $165 service, so nothing is added for the visit. When one spring on a two-spring door snaps, its partner has done exactly the same number of cycles, which is why we usually suggest doing both while we are there. Doors that run three or more springs are priced once we have seen them, because the door's weight sets the spring size.
A complete service of the door: spring tension and balance checked and set, rollers, hinges and track cleaned and lubricated, cables and fixings inspected, the opener's travel and force adjusted, and the safety-reverse tested. On a parts job the same $165 is the one attendance charge, with each roller, hinge or remote added as a part. If we find something else that needs doing, you get the price first and decide.
A roller door supplied and installed is usually $2,300–$5,000. A sectional or tilt door sits around $3,000–$5,000. Both include taking the old door away and new tracks and hardware. Wide, commercial and made-to-order doors start at $5,000 and are always measured first. Door size, profile, colour, insulation and whether you want a motor fitted at the same time are what move the number.
Yes. Every figure on this page is the price you pay including GST, from the $165 service call up to a new door. We do not list an ex-GST number anywhere, so there is no 10% to add at the end.
A flat $500 on top of the normal job price. It is added once, not multiplied, so a $450 single-spring job done after hours comes to $950. You are told whether the surcharge applies before anyone sets off, so you can choose to wait for a normal booking instead.
A single figure means the work is the same on every door — the service call, springs and remotes are like that. A range means the job itself varies: one cable or both, a dented section patched or replaced, a narrow opening or a wide one. We publish the range rather than quote everybody the top of it, and we confirm where your door sits once we have looked at it.
It is the price we work from, and in most cases it is where the job lands. Because the exact figure depends on the part, the door and how easy it is to reach, we confirm it with you on site before we start. Once you have agreed a figure, it does not change during the job.
